Horsepen Cottage is a charming 3-bedroom, 2-bath retreat nestled at the peaceful intersection of the back river and the ocean. This cozy yet spacious cottage boasts an open concept living area, featuring a fully equipped kitchen, a dining area, and a comfortable living room, all designed for relaxation and family gatherings. One thing you will notice are the all-natural bamboo walls from a bamboo farm in the Savannah area. The original house was a pine cabin built by the Army for a dive school in WWII. The house burned in 1960 and was rebuilt to the current cottage (with some improvements of course!). A standout feature is the expansive screened-in porch, offering a dining space with breathtaking views of the water — perfect for enjoying meals while watching the sunset. Outside, a private dock provides a serene spot for fishing, unwinding, or simply taking in the unique, picturesque surroundings. Whether you're looking to explore the waterways or just enjoy the stunning views, Horsepen Cottage offers an unforgettable coastal getaway.

Other Details to Note

**Please note: As of February 25, 2025, our floating dock is not operational until further notice. We sustained damage from Hurricane Helene and are on a waiting list for the repair. The dock itself is intact and usable, but the floating dock is not at this time. We will update this post as needed. **July 27, 2025 the floating dock is still not operational. House Rules

Who can rent: The person responsible for making a reservation, the "Renter," must be at least 25 years of age, secure the reservation with a major credit card that is in their name and occupy the rental property during the reservation period. As Renters, you are agreeing to "The House Rules”. Contact host, should you desire a copy of the rules in advance of your booking. You agree to indemnify, hold harmless and limit the liability of the Owners and Coastline Concierge LLC to the total amount of your booking. One thing we do recommend is getting travel insurance that will help with costs if you need to cancel for a variety of reasons. Especially during hurricane season. We do not give refunds due to weather unless there is mandatory evacuation so, please keep this in mind when booking during hurricane season. One insurance company we recommend is Allianz Travel Insurance. Report ANY damages immediately to the property manager. The City of Tybee as well as the complex observes quiet hours after 10:00 PM. Please follow the noise ordinance and remember, you are in a residential neighborhood! Please be advised: We allow early check-in's ONLY with prior arrangements. PLEASE NOTE: you must inform us AT BOOKING if you plan to bring your fur baby so that you can pay the fee. If you bring a pet and do not inform us or pay the fee, you will be asked to leave immediately. Since we are allowing you to bring your pet into our home, we expect honesty when doing so. We provide covers for sofas & ask that you use them if dogs are on the sofas. *Also please note: You could be charged an extra cleaning fee if you leave an excessive mess which causes our housekeeping to spend extra time cleaning. DOGS ARE NOT ALLOWED ON THE BEACH at any time and there is a hefty fine. We also ask that you please use the provided chair covers and beach towels for outside and DO NOT remove our bath towels from inside the house. We also provide black makeup wash cloths and ask that you use these for washing off make-up.
